1. Punctuality - lesson schedules shall remain the same and start and end promptly. To commence lessons, I'll be the one to make the phone call on FaceTime or Facebook.
2. Professionalism - please set up a consistent location in your home for the virtual lesson. This will help yield to a focused mindset when lessons begin each week. Dress attire should be no less than smart casual. Students who are already reading music should have a music stand.
3. Virtual Lesson Structure - begin with I Can Read Music, tuning, warm-up, review or SFGA piece, new material.
4. Solo Festival/Graduation Auditions (SFGA)
5. Make-Up Lesson Policy remains the same as if lessons took place at Bellevue.

- Please be sure the camera setup allows me to see the student's posture and complete instrument: from the waist and up.
- Parents, be prepared to be my hands for the lessons. Let your child know this. You have to be me in moving the arms, the head, the instrument itself when corrections need to be made. Do not be afraid to ask lots of questions.
- Know that with technology, sometimes only one sound makes it to the mic. So if there is excess noise, our voices can cut off; therefore, we may have to repeat ourselves often. To keep the noise lower, select a room that has carpet to reduce ambiance noise.
- Finally, we both have to be patient this first week as we work out all the kinks and learn how the technology works. I'll be purchasing an Ethernet cable to prevent wireless problems. I recom-mend you do the same.
4. Solo Festival/Graduation Auditions (SFGA)
- Record video of solo/audition- include all audition requirements mentioned in the Parent Strings Handbook
- Graduation Audition: two scales with arpeggios and solo. Those audition for Book 4 and 5 graduations will perform their part solo for the video.
- Solo Festival: chosen solo piece.
- Attire: be in Sunday best for your submitted video.
- Upload Video to YouTube and email link to Cecily and myself.
5. Make-Up Lesson Policy remains the same as if lessons took place at Bellevue.
- If a permanent lesson change must take place because of location change, let me know as soon as possible.
