1. Punctuality - lesson schedules shall remain the same and start and end promptly. To commence lessons, I'll be the one to make the phone call on FaceTime or Facebook.
2. Professionalism - please set up a consistent location in your home for the virtual lesson. This will help yield to a focused mindset when lessons begin each week. Dress attire should be no less than smart casual. Students who are already reading music should have a music stand. 3. Virtual Lesson Structure - begin with I Can Read Music, tuning, warm-up, review or SFGA piece, new material.
4. Solo Festival/Graduation Auditions (SFGA)
5. Make-Up Lesson Policy remains the same as if lessons took place at Bellevue.
Greetings,
While the world is in hysterics and the School of Performing Arts is closed, auditions and solo festival approach quickly. Use all this extra time to your advantage and practice well. SFGA is Saturday, March 28. Auditioning students for graduation will also take Theory Tests the same day. Be sure to practice scales, arpeggios, and your solo piece. Also, all students (not just graduating students) should be preparing Classic Mashups for the Celebration Concert on Thursday, April 30. My group class (Book 1B, 2A) will be performing with Ms. Kristy's group the Charlie Brown theme for the Celebration Concert too. Message me any questions regarding these upcoming events. Stay safe and stay healthy. |
